Cloud Kickers – Case Study

Overview

Cloud Kickers are a technology and IT consultancy and secure business provider that operate internationally helping clients tackle the challenges of the new digital era head on helping with the purchase of IT, electronic engineering and security and information controls.

MK Brief

MK were approached by Cloud Kickers in 2019 to work to implement and manage a comprehensive, multi-platform media and stakeholder engagement programme that would help raise awareness of the company across the north of the UK and with relevant key stakeholders and position them as thought leaders in the arena of cyber security solutions.

Strategy

MK established a media relations programme that identified key event opportunities in the North of England which the team could get involved in throughout the year, these included networking events with key representatives, exhibitions, conferences and keynote speaker opportunities.

Once these had been identified we refined this in response to our clients budget and time restraints to identify what would work best and what should be prioritised to ensure maximum coverage was received throughout the north and how best to target their stakeholder demographic.

Results

We negotiated Cloud Kickers an exclusive sponsorship opportunity with one of the leading trade press platforms in the country, The Business Desk who were hosting two cyber security breakfast seminars targeted at their Yorkshire and North West readerships.

The events were held in Leeds and Manchester and included a talk from a panellist of expert speakers, in which we secured Simon Kenworthy CTO of Cloud Kickers a place at each event.

Each event was attended by excess of 75 business professionals giving Cloud Kickers exposure to key stakeholders in both regions.

In addition, we secured the following coverage in response to the events:

We also secured the following editorial content:

The Business Desk have over 40,000 registered users to their site and on average receives over 90,000 visitors each month – in each region.

Finally, as part of our involvement we coordinated with The Business Desk’s marketing team to ensure we maximised Cloud Kickers reach on social media platforms, taking advantage of The Business Desk’s combined Twitter following of 18,000 and their 1,614 LinkedIn followers.

This was followed by a strategic social media campaign which we produced and ran directly from the Cloud Kickers platforms which saw us gain numerous followers throughout the month.
