MK Public Relations is the proud winner of a Silver Award at the CIPR Pride Awards 2017 in the Consumer Relations Campaign category for our work with Meadowhall on their ‘Oona the elephant’ campaign.

Upon partnering with Sheffield Theatres in early 2017, Meadowhall called upon MK to raise awareness of the partnership and, by bringing Sheffield Theatre’s production ‘Running Wild’ to the centre in the form of a life-size elephant puppet, we did just that.

Behind the campaign was a whole lot of planning from to strategy to execution, including coinciding the visit with World Book Day to maximise PR potential, using social media to spread awareness and effectively using our strong media relations to target key consumer, business and trade-specific journalists.

Importantly, the coverage received highlighted the work that the partnership does in aiming to grant children, in local areas where participation with the arts is considered low, a chance to experience live theatre and benefit from an engaging, exciting performance.
